Client Feedback

The course was friendly, informative and engaging and I would certainly recommend it to others seeking to further their Project Management knowledge.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. e.g your name, location, hobby, your current work and your role?

My name is George Jamo, I am a Sydney based Project Manager in the Construction industry working for Johnson Controls. I typically deliver security systems for high rise commercial buildings. In my down time I enjoy playing soccer, snowboarding and running to blow off steam.

The course was friendly, informative and engaging and I would certainly recommend it to others seeking to further their Project Management knowledge.

2. What did you study with PMCOE and what was your reason for taking the course?

I had the pleasure of taking the PMP Exam Preparation course with PMCOE in January of 2022. Having been a Project Engineer and Project Manager for over ten years I wanted to formalise my knowledge and to acquaint myself with industry best practices in my professional approach.

I was then able to build on this foundation to prepare myself for the PMP exam, for which I was well equipped and passed with flying colours.

3. How do you plan to utilise your newly acquired knowledge?

The knowledge gained throughout the course has empowered me in several ways.
Throughout all phases of the project, the course has helped me to identify a suitable framework of processes, including but not limited to:

* Creating the project charter to closing the project.

* Highlighting the value and utility of leadership, empathy and interpersonal skills when engaging the project team

* Outlining the various engagement strategies for vendors.

* Defining key project artefacts, how they are created and the purpose they serve.

* Covering various estimating and forecasting methods, such as Earned Value Management

All in all, the course was successful in providing me with the Project Management foundation I was looking for. I was then able to build on this foundation to prepare myself for the PMP exam, for which I was well equipped and passed with flying colours.

4. How would you describe your learning experience at PMCOE?

Overall I quite enjoyed my learning experience at PMCOE. The course was friendly, informative and engaging and I would certainly recommend it to others seeking to further their Project Management knowledge.
